Village Board Meeting

August 10, 2009

 

 

Members Present:  M. Joost, E. Kurkowski,  A. Ruzicka, K. Olson, D. Pohl, C. Petrick.

Visitors: Dan  Folan, Kevin Quevillon and Cathy Rhutasel.

 

President K. Trzebiatowski called the meeting to order at 7pm.

D. Pohl made a motion and seconded by E. Kurkowski to approve the July minutes. Motion carried 5-0.

C. Petrick made a motion and seconded by K. Olson to approve the Treasurers report. Motion carried 6-0.

C. Petrick made a motion and seconded by K. Olson to approve the August disbursements.  Motion carried 6-0.

Kevin and Cathy spoke in regard to the Boys and Girls Club that was started here this year at the School It has been a very successful program. Enrollment is $10 for a year. During the summer it is open for 3rd thru 7th grade Monday thru Thursday from 12:30pm to 5pm, during the School year it is open from 3 to 6pm Monday thru Thursday.

K. Olson made a motion and seconded by M. Joost to accept a bid from Anything Eifs for $1000.00 to do work on the overhang of the Library and Municipal Building. Motion  carried 6-0. There will be some other expense for extra material needed to finish the job.

C. Petrick made a motion and seconded by E. Kurkowski to accept the bid from Pagels Construction for road work on Oak, Kamel and Almart Sts in the Pagel SubDivision for $95,290.00. Motion carried 6-0.

The Cell Tower is up.

Accepting metals and appliances at the Dump till October 1st.

Work is being done on the pods for the Dumpsters.

There was a discussion on recycling and the issue of Rate Increases.

On August 15th there will be a motorcycle and bicycle ride coming into town, it is sponsored by The United Way for the Boys and Girls Club.

On October 22nd there will be Drug Drop Off at the Municipal Center.

Next Meeting is on September 14, 2009.

C. Petrick made a motion and seconded by M. Joost to adjourn at 9pm. Motion carried 6-0.
