Village Board Meeting

April 12, 2010

 

Members Present: E. Kurkowski, D. Pohl, C. Petrick and K. Olson

Visitors Present: Dan Folan and Gary Schultz

 

President K. Trzebiatowski called the meeting to order at 7pm.

C. Petrick made a motion and seconded by K. Olson to approve the Treasurers report. Motion carried 4-0.

E. Kurkowski made a motion and seconded by C. Petrick to approve the minutes of the March meeting. Motion carried 4-0.

D. Pohl made a motion and seconded by E. Kurkowski to approve the April disbursements. Motion carried 4-0.

C. Petrick made a motion and seconded by D. Pohl to allow the Fire Dept. to work off of   the Village internet. Motion carried 4-0.

Four new valves had to be ordered for the Lagoon.

There will be Appliance Collection at the Dump from May 1st to September 1st.

K. Olson made a motion and seconded by C. Petrick to paint the 6 Street Light Poles at a cost of $1200.00 by Pine Country Painters pending inspection of roads and sidewalks by the Public Works Committee. Motion carried 4-0.

K. Olson made a motion and seconded by E. Kurkowski to grant Operators License to Darcy Folan and Brittney R. Talley. Motion carried 4-0.

D. Pohl made a motion and seconded by E. Kurkowski to appoint Gary Schultz to represent the Village on the County Groundwater Advisory Board. Motion carried 4-0.

C. Petrick made a motion and seconded by D. Pohl to pay Gary Schultz 48 cents a mile for the meetings he attends at the County. Motion carried 4-0.

E. Kurkowski made a motion and seconded by C. Petrick to buy a 14 ft. Snow Pusher and rent a pay loader from Roland Rental for snow removal. Motion carried 4-0.

E. Kurkowski made a motion and seconded by K. Olson to buy a Sears Cordless Kit for $169.99. Motion carried 4-0.

C. Petrick made a motion and seconded by K. Olson to upgrade to 512K Internet for $39.95 for 2 years. Motion carried 4-0.

Election results: D. Pohl 53 votes-Kurt Olson 46 votes-C. Petrick 50 votes- J. Lemke 55 votes.

Public Works Meeting for Sidewalk and Road Inspection on April 20th at 6:30pm.

Postponed Board of Review May 10th   at 1pm.

Next Meeting May 10th -7pm. D. Pohl made a motion and seconded by K. Olson to adjourn at 9:25pm. Motion carried 4-0.
